Due to the wide variety of speakers weights, Frankenstands come in two “powers”:
Frankenstand F35-50 for speakers weighting between 30 and 50 lbs. (Mackie 450 and JBL EONs). This stand was previously called the Frankenstand F1.
Frankenstand F55-80 for speakers weighing between 55 and 80 lbs. This stand was previously called the Frankenstand F2.
And because operating a speaker stand shouldn’t be a puzzle, Frankenstand’s legs open EZ! Plus the leg’s rubber feet are glued on. The Frankenstand, fully extended, stands at 6’ tall with a 3½ foot leg spread.

How It Works – The gas springs (shocks) help you raise and lower your loud-speakers. One power doesn’t fit all speakers so dr. Frankenstand averaged out the most common speaker weights and came up with:
F35-50 (F1) for 10 to 12 inch speakers or 30 to 50 pound speakers (and)
F55-80 (F2) for 15 inch speakers or 55 to 80 pound speakers.
(FYI each speaker will hold well over 80 pounds but dr. Frankenstand figured speakers over 80 pounds should be on a stage not a stand.)
Hybrid stands – Frankenstands are made with aluminum legs and sliding tube and a steel center-tube (lighter and stronger).
The gas springs (shocks) are designed for neutral buoyancy – Neutral Buoyancy is not a boating term, but a concept that lifts AND lowers a speaker with the same effort (buoyancy) which with all things being equal should make your speaker go EZ UP and EZ DOWN.
Nuts and Bolts – Often overlooked on most stands, FRANKENSTAND is the only stand manufacturer to use Alan bolts and Top-Loc nuts (NASA uses these same nuts and bolts). Frankenstand also includes a pull-ring-plunger as a positive lock on the sliding tube complementing a friction locking knob.
