As technology has progressed DJ's have embraced new formats while continuing to utilize the existing, and much loved, vinyl. However, the sound of digital media is often very different from the traditional analog sound, making the transition between formats very noticeable. The new VESTAX CDX-05 features a unique vinyl filter mode, which cleverly adjusts the EQ settings to give the digital sound the warmth of vinyl. Now mixing between CD (mp3) tracks and vinyl tracks is even easier.
The VESTAX CDX-05 also has an amazing array of features designed for DJ use. Total pitch adjustment, up to +/- 100%, allows any tracks and styles to be mixed, and with a high quality master tempo function the sound quality does not deteriorate, even at the pitch extremes. MP3 data can be read as can cd-rw, discs for convenient use of home made recordings. Seamless loops can be created, with a separate 8-second sampler and multiple beatsyncable effects, mixes can be made even more exciting and creative than ever. The added inclusion of the TT® accessory socket will also allow dj's to control the basic cd functions via any turntable simply by adding the Tascam accessory wheel.
In addition to reading both CD-R/RW and MP3 files, this front-loading player was designed to give professional DJs the realistic feel of scratching, braking or back spinning vinyl. It also offers features for DJs looking to integrate CDs and vinyl in their performance.
Performance functions include: Master Tempo, which allows the DJ to change the BPM without changing the song's key; BPM counter; beat sync for effects; adjustable pitch control (+/-6, 10, 50, 100%); three hot cue points with disc memory; Sampling via a dedicated eight second sampler; seamless loop; plus a built-in, adjustable DJ FX section offering Flanger/Delay/Filter effects.
For DJs interested in scratching digital audio but who are more comfortable with the traditional feel and larger size of vinyl, the CDX-05 has a built-in TT-LINK accessory socket, which allows DJs to control basic CD functions via any turntable simply by connecting to the Tascam TT-M1 accessory wheel.
An analog filter is beneficial for DJs using authentic vinyl turntables in conjunction with the VESTAX CDX-05 during live performance. This unique function intelligently adjusts the filter settings to give CD or MP3 tracks the warmth of vinyl. By using the analog filter, DJs can mix seamlessly between CD/MP3 audio and vinyl records.

3 HOT CUE POINT
2 ways of setting memory points. First, the CDX-35 type where you keep the last playing point always on CUE memory, and the second is theCD-16 type, pushing the CUE button while on pause. CUE1, CUE2, CUE3 can memory while the track is playing.

Plays seamless loops by setting the start point and end point on real time and is able to fine tune the end point with the JOG dial..

1. HOW DOES THE "REAL VINYL SCRATCHING" WORK AS I CAN'T SEE ANY REAL VINYL ?
For the "REAL VINYL SCRATCHING" an additional unit the TASCAM TT-M1 Controller
is required. This mounts on any turntable (preferably Vestax PDX-series) . When you are
scratching the vinyl, the CD sound follows the movement and scratches.
2. DO I HAVE TO BUY A LAPTOP OR COMPUTER FOR THIS TO SCRATCH??
NO! You can scratch just with the VESTAX CDX-05, or with a turntable and TASCAM TT-M1.
3. WHAT SPECIAL VINYL DO I HAVE TO BUY FOR THIS ??
NONE ! You can use any vinyl you have; it also works without vinyl as the TASCAM TT-M1 only follows the movement of the platter , but the feeling is missing.

Digital audio player with vinyl sound emulation
The one and only 1kW sound spec CD player made for "CLUB HOUSE SOUND". Sensory sound quality is required in clubs as well as auditory sound quality is. Thinking of the situations at the scene, the new CDX-05 features D/A CONVERT and VESTAX's original vinyl filter that gives the digital sound the warmth of vinyl.
Original CD filter applied to cut the noise out from loud volume (500W+500W~). The filter adjusts the ear-ripping noise to a frequency that gives the sound warmth like an analog turntable.
The world's first top loading type DJ CD player CD-11 and CD-07 was presented in 1995 and attracted the whole world. The Vestax CDX-05 blows away the Denon, Numark & Technics CD Players when comparing the scratch features. Besides the Vestax CDX-05 being the easiest table top CD player to use, it is the best sounding and best performing CD player. When the Tascam TT-M1 is used with the Vestax CDX-05 no other table top scratch CD player can perform like the Vestax CDX-05. All other CD players emulate a turntable, the Vestax CDX-05 USES a turntable. This means you will not have to learn the "feel" of a new device. This statement holds true for all types of music. Hip Hop, Techno, Drum and Bass, Rap, it doesn't matter! Also, the Vestax CDX-05 has the best sounding scratch of all CD players. This is because of the Vinyl Filter.
