The 2 elliptical styli are designed for hi-quality playback for recording of records into the FinalScratch system or any other application where sound quality is critical. The 890.FS also includes a stylus mountable dust brush which sweeps dusts off of the groove of the record during playback and recording.

Designed expressly
for use with the Final Scratch System, Stanton has launched
the 890FS DJ cartridge based on the top-of-the-line Stanton
890SA. The 890FS differs in that it's the first cartridge
to be shipped with two different types of styli--spherical
and elliptical. This makes it easy for DJs to switch between
optimum sound quality for recording into Final Scratch,
or optimum handling when mixing and scratching.
The 890FS is further distinguished by its inclusion of
a stylus-mountable brush which continually cleans dust
out
of the record's grooves during recording and playback.
