There are two types of hard drive sizes on the market, 2.5" & 3.5"
The HS5500 only supports 2.5"
There are various data volume drives on the market, 40GB, 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, 250GB
You should pick one that fits your needs, however, 250GB is the largest you can buy/find for this size and type

2. I understand that the HS5500 can only see a FAT32 formatted drive, but the drive I just bought came formatted NTFS, how do I change it to FAT32?

3. How do I get music into the Hard Drive once mounted & installed in the HS5500?
You would connect the players USB-B port to your computer first, then set the player to "PC" mode
Once connected it will show up as another drive letter on your computer.
At this point you can drag&drop files or connect by using the Denon DJ Music Manager
