Hercules, Rennes (France), 12th September 2006 – Hercules, designer and manufacturer of digital music hardware, consolidates its DJing range with the launch of the Hercules DJ Console MK2 for Mac®, provided with renowned software tool Traktor 3 LE. The Hercules DJ Console MK2 for Mac enables users to create mixes on their Mac® computer using both their digital music files and analogue music (from CD players or Turntables).

Two years after the successful launch of both the first DJ Console for Mac® - and one year after the release of the DJ Console MK2 for PC - Hercules now offers DJs using Mac® computers a more professional and powerful solution: The first digital mixing console for Mac®, featuring integrated audio and providing an interface with DJ turntables and CD players.

Versatile mixing console
The new Hercules deck offers unrivalled versatility. Featuring 2 stereo inputs allowing for the connection of 2 turntables, CD players or groove boxes, and 2 outputs enabling DJs to play their mixes on active loudspeakers or redirect the sound to an effects rack or a mixing desk, the DJ Console MK2 provides a fully-fledged interface between a Mac® and the analog devices commonly used by DJs. It can also be used alone controller with a Mac® computer to create flawless mixes with digital files.

The Hercules DJ Console MK2 for Mac is the ideal companion for mobile DJs as it is light and compact so easy to transport to gigs (200 x 235 x 85 mm) and store in the home.

DJ Console MK2 - fusing innovations:
- 2 analog inputs enabling DJs to mix audio files with an external source (CD player, iPod®-style MP3 player etc.)
- 2 phono and line-level inputs allowing for the connection of DJ turntables or CD players

Mixes galore!
The Hercules DJ Console MK2 for Mac offers DJs a wide array of mixing options: digital mixing of audio files using the 2 jog wheels; mixing audio files with analog sources (connected to the stereo inputs) to create a hybrid "digital and analog" mix; mixing 2 tracks directly into the DJ Console MK2, or outputting the mix to an external mixing desk; and, last but not least, mixing timecoded vinyls (played on external turntables), connected to the console via dedicated software*.
